Tutriva Tutor Code of Conduct

Tutriva is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and professional learning environment for students, guardians, and Tutors.

This Code applies to every Tutor who accesses or uses the Tutriva platform or provides tutoring services arranged through the platform. Every Tutor must comply with this Code.

Professional Communication

Tutors must communicate with students and families in a respectful, clear, and professional manner.

Tutors must not use threatening, discriminatory, harassing, inappropriate, or offensive language.

Safe Learning Environment

Tutors should take reasonable steps to create a safe, focused, and appropriate learning environment.

For in-person lessons, Tutors and families should agree on appropriate locations and supervision arrangements.

Reporting Safety Concerns

A Tutor must promptly report any suspected abuse, exploitation, serious misconduct, or immediate safety concern to Tutriva.

Reporting a concern to Tutriva does not replace any duty to report the matter to the police, child protection authorities, or another authority under applicable law.

Accurate Profile Information

Tutors are responsible for ensuring that their profile information is accurate, truthful, and not misleading.

This includes education background, credentials, certifications, experience, teaching areas, availability, and hourly rates.

Credentials and Supporting Documents

Tutors must not claim degrees, licenses, certificates, or qualifications they do not hold.

If families request supporting documents, Tutors should respond honestly and professionally.

Academic Integrity

Tutors should support student learning, understanding, and skill development.

Tutors must not impersonate a Student or complete examinations, tests, graded assignments, admission materials, or other assessed work on behalf of a Student

Privacy and Confidentiality

Tutors must respect the privacy of students and families.

Tutors must not share student information, lesson details, personal data, screenshots, recordings, or private communications without appropriate consent.

Tutors may collect, use, and disclose Student information only for the purpose of providing the Tutoring Services and only through methods authorized by Tutriva, Students or their Guardians.

Tutors must not record, photograph, screenshot, download, retain, publish, or use Student information without the required consent and authorization.

Tutors must promptly report any loss, unauthorized access, or unauthorized disclosure of Student information to Tutriva.

Tutors must securely delete Student information when it is no longer required for the Tutoring Services or another lawful purpose.

Student Safety and Boundaries

Tutors must maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students at all times.

Tutors must communicate with a Minor Student only through communication channels provided by Tutriva or approved by the Parent or Guardian.

Tutors must not engage in sexual, romantic, suggestive, exploitative, threatening, manipulative, or otherwise inappropriate conduct toward a Student.

Tutors must not ask a Minor Student to conceal any communication, meeting, gift, payment, or other interaction from a Parent, Guardian, or Tutriva.

Respect and Non-Discrimination

Tutors must treat students and families fairly and respectfully regardless of background, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, gender, disability, or learning needs.

Platform Integrity

Tutors must not misuse the platform, create false profiles, misrepresent their identity, manipulate reviews, spam users, or engage in fraudulent activity.

Consequences of Violation

Tutriva may investigate any suspected violation of this Code.

During an investigation, Tutriva may restrict communication, cancel Sessions, suspend an account, or take other reasonable interim measures to protect Students and other users.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the violation, Tutriva may issue a warning, suspend or terminate access to the Platform, cancel Sessions, or report the matter to a Parent, Guardian, law enforcement agency, child protection authority, professional regulator, or other appropriate authority.
